Interior
They say we should look inward whenever we need to find an answer. But this works not only for our emotions but also for our identity as Brazilians. There's no point in looking at the big cities to discover who we are.
São Paulo is not Brazil, just as New York is not the United States and Paris is not France. With this reflection, I walked and walked until I found myself.
I found myself in other people's eyes, in other people's food, in other people's stories,
in their music. I walked and walked to discover that I am made up of other-selves. We are matula, acarajé, pirão. We're crazy. We are brigadeiro, picanha, sushi with strawberries, and all the flavors.
As they say, if you want to get to know Brazil, you have to go inside. Or better: to the countryside.
And this series of images is a walk through the bowels of our wonderful country.
